The Author

I grew up on a farm in the Imperial Valley in Southern California. I’ve seen hundreds of acres of tomatoes. Unloaded countless tons of them at tomato packing sheds. But it wasn’t ’til I found a cherry tomato after a party one morning that tomatoes got my attention. I studied at Art Center in Pasadena. I got my degree in advertising and Illustration. Did 20 years hard time in NYC working at different ad agencies. I finally settled into my own business 45 miles west of DC in horse country. I’ve been living in a magnificent park since 1999. With an incredible vegetable garden. The Tommy Garden, which will be open to the public in years to come.
